Abstract

718,144. Hose couplings. FISCHELL, K. April 30, 1952, No. 10909/52. Class 99 (1). [Also in Group XXV] In a hose clip for compressed air hoses &c., comprising two rigid complementary parts 1, 2 which are brought into locking position by the toggle action of a lever 7 pivotally mounted on one of the parts (1) the free end 8 of the lever 7 lies within a recess provided on the other part (2). As shown, the pivotal mounting of the lever 7 is effected by means of a pair of links 5. The links 5 have slots 10 and 11, which provide alternative pivots at the upper ends of the links and thus provide alternative effective lengths of the links. This enables hoses of different diameters to be clamped. A recess 14 on the inner periphery of the parts 1, 2 co-operates with recesses 17 which define an annular rib 16 on the pipe socket 15.
