[Also in Group XXI] To indicate when a fire-extinguisher valve 11 has been operated, a tell-tale 4 is provided which returns with the actuated lever 2 after operation thereof. The lever and tell-tale are mounted on the same pivot and are drawn together by a spring 5. When the lever 2 is operated, a locking member 9, 9' slidable in slots in the lever housing 1 is disengaged from a notch 7 in the tell-tale 4 by a blade spring 10 on the lever 2 to release the tell-tale, which is then free to return with the lever 2 and is held in its " operated " position by the locking member 9 engaging a notch 8. According to the Provisional Specification, a tell-tale is pivoted on the operating lever and is controlled by a toggle spring which holds it in both the " operated " and " non-operated " positions. Movement of the tell-tale to " operated " position moves a tell-tale spring which remains in this position even if the tell-tale itself is restored to the " non-operated position.
