620,632. Fire-extinguishing. BARTRUM, E. R. Jan. 24, 1947, No. 2278. [Class 47 (ii)] In fire-extinguishing means for aircraft &c., a frangible actuating member 1 normally retained within or flush with the surface 15 of the aircraft is projected therefrom upon an abnormal deceleration. The member 1 is held retracted against a spring 12 by a pin 3 controlled by a solenoid 6 actuated by an inertiaoperated switch 8. A spring-pressed pin 10 holds the member 1 in projected position.
