Abstract
715,156. Typewriter tables. KING- FISHER. Ltd. March 17, 1953 [March 21, 1952], No. 7309/52. Class 52(1) A desk having a platform for a typewriter which is moved into its horizontal position of use when the lid is raised comprises a lid 15 connected by a link 28 to the desk and pivotally connected at its rear edge to a block 26 slidable in a guide 27. The platform 20 which slides or rocks on guides 22 pivoted on a fixed bar 16 is connected by a link 23 to the rear of the desk and connected by links 32, 31 to the lid. As the lid is raised and slid into a vertical position at the rear of the desk the link 31 co-operates with a roller abutment 33 on which it fulcrums to raise the rear edge of the platform until it is horizontal when it is supported by the guides 22, links 23 which act as struts, and the short links 32.
