494,465. Desks. HAUGE, K. M. Dec. 20, 1937, No. 35290. Convention date, Jan. 7. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (iii)] In filing-desks of the type in which the top of the desk is divided into a number of invertible sections 2 hinged on horizontal pivot pins 9 and provided on the underside with means for attachment of a book 8, so that by inverting the top section the book is brought from a storage position to the position of use, the pivot pins rest in slots 10 inclined with reference to the top of the desk and tapering towards the back, the top section thus being movable forwardly to disengage its rear end 11 from the rear part of the fixed desk top 12 and allow of the inversion. A rack 3 for books 4 is provided at the rear of the desk.
