Cabinets; clamping-devices. - A combined writing- desk and filing- cabinet comprises a number of filing - trays 16, a number of shelves 25 with movable partitions, and a concealed shelf, all enclosed by a roll-top 12, a writing-table 28 with movable bearers, and one or more other shelves 7, 10, fixed or adjustable. Each filing-tray consists of a front 16 and bottom 17 together with a member 18 to act as a guide when placing papers in the tray, while allowing slips 19, held by a wire 24, to project and show name or other matter thereon. The papers may be held in position in the tray by a weight 22 on a pivoted wire 20.
