Abstract
135,754. Egerton & Co., M., and Wilford, G. L. April 15, 1919. Cabinets.-Relates to means for facilitating the quick attachment or removal of labels which indicate the contents of each shelf or the like of a rack or cabinet. The label-holders are preferably arranged so as to be parallel to, but slightly in front or rear of, the front edges of the shelves. Fig. 2 shows an arrangement in which the label-holders are to the rear. In this arrangement, the side wall b of the rack forms an abutment for the labels j. The holder comprises a member f which extends at the side of the shelving, and a series of guides g for the labels. The guides may be of the form shown in Figs. 6, 7, and 8, the turned-in tubular edges g<2> forming clips to hold the edges of the labels. Like clips may also be used to support the shelving. By these means, the labels are kept quite clear of the shelving e. The rack is serviceable on a desk or table as a reference rack.
