Abstract

751,169. Tables. RADER, T. A. May 31, 1954, No. 16118/54. Class 52(3). An extensible table with removable leaves has the top in two halves 1, 2 each having on its under side a semi-circular guide 3 which runs in a corresponding groove 4 provided in each of two slide members 5 slidable in members attached by parallel links 7 to the table frame. To enlarge the table top leaf halves 1,2 are rotated 90 degrees until each guide 3 rests entirely in the groove of a member 5 so that the leaf halves can then be pulled apart and a loose leaf part 6 placed therebetween. For further extension the parts 1, 2 are lifted outwards on the links which movement also raises the table top. An intermediate position is obtainable by means of turntable stops 8 which rest against the table frame.
