714,445. Spring suspensions for motor-cycles and the like. HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG. Jan. 17, 1952 [Jan. 20, 1951.], No. 1388/52. Class 136(3) [Also in Group XXXII] A spring suspension for a wheel of a motor-cycle or the like comprises a cylindrical helical spring 11, tapered at least at one end and surrounded by a rubber, or like, sleeve 12 which has a smaller internal diameter than the external diameter of the cylindrical portion of the spring. A pair of angular fork legs 1 pivoted to the frame 4 at 3 support the rear wheel axle at 6 and each is connected at 10 to an inclined spring device 5. The upper end of the spring is connected to bracket 7 on the frame member 8 and the lower end is connected to member 1 by means of bolts 16, 17 respectively which are tapered at 18 to grip the spring. Metal caps 9, 10 are provided at the ends of the spring.
