Abstract
A cement comprises a ternary mixture consisting of Portland cement, granulated blast furnace slag and a pozzolana. One or more of the following additions may also be present; calcium sulphate or calcium chloride as hardening accelerators, and pore formers, e.g. resins. The Portland cement may be artificial (which is defined) or natural. Light ash-from furnaces burning powdered coal - is the preferred pozzolana.
