[Class 22] A water-setting metallurgical cement comprises blast furnace slag, natural or artificial anhydrite, hydrated lime and (or) Portland cement clinker, and a small percentage, i.e. 0.1-3 per cent., of a sulphate that is more readily soluble than natural or artificial anhydrite, e.g. gypsum in its raw state or calcined to the hemihydrate or an alkali sulphate.
