Class 64(2) [Also in- Group XVII] In an insulating box, e.g. for keeping ice-cream cool, an inner container, Fig. 5, hangs unfixed in an outer, single-walled container, Fig. 4, and unsupported at its. bottom so that there is an air space between the two containers. The sides of the corrugated cardboard outer container are extended to form a closed bottom and, at the top, to form a lid 3 and spacing members 4, 5 for the paper-lined, cardboard inner container. When the inner containeris inserted, a tongue 9, formed together with a spacing portion 8 by a side wall' extension, is pushed down in the region of the hinge of the lid 3 and the spacing members are turned in so that portions 5 lay along the inner container walls and the portions 4 form a flange perpendicular to the side walls and which supports the ends of the portion 8 at the lid side of the box. The supporting member opposite the lid 3 is formed with flaps 5' for locating the guiding portion 5. At the bottom of the inner container, which is closed by extensions of the walls, one extension 7 protrudes beyond a wall to space the containers and at the top of the opposite wall an extension forms a box-like lid 10 with four marginal flanges 10<SP>1</SP> so that it is set in when closed. The containers are stored folded flat before use. When they are assembled, ice cream is filled into the inner container and the lids 3, 10 are closed and secured by adhesive strips.
