Abstract

710,839. Pulse modulation circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Oct. 10, 1952 [Oct. 26, 1951], No. 25436/52. Class 40 (5). [Also in Group XXXVI] A voltage depending on changes in the pulse duration or recurrence frequency of a pulse train is produced by a peak rectifier circuit 6a, 7a and an averaging rectifier circuit 8a, 9a connected in parallel. The rectifiers are followed by A.C. filters 10a, 11a and 12a, 13a respectively the outputs of which are connected in opposition. The output of the peak rectifier may be adjusted by potential divider 14 so that the combined output is zero for a predetermined pulse duration and recurrence frequency.
