Abstract
710,462. Inductive-output tubes. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. March 26, 1952 [March 29, 1951], No. 7750/52. Class 39(1) In an inductive output electric discharge tube comprising a cathode 2, a control grid 3, annular accelerating electrodes 5, 6, an external cavity resonator 8, and a collecting electrode 4, the envelope 1 is constricted at 7 between the first annular electrode 5 and the.resonator gap so as to be struck by electrons. It is stated that the operation of the tube is stabilized owing to the positive charge produced on the envelope as a result of secondary emission.
