Abstract
709,608. Hydraulic turbines. RAUTENKRANZ, H. VON, and MEYER, O. July 2 1952 [July 20, 1951]. No. 16650/52. Class 110(3) The turbine comprises a stator provided with substantially tangential discharge nozzles mounted concentrically with a rotor carrying blades, or ducts, which are open in one axial direction. Working fluid may flow radially outwards, or inwards, i.e. the rotor may be inside the stator or outside. As shown for a boring tool shaft, a stator 5. containing the liquid supply pipe 2, has discharge nozzles 7 and a rotor 6 is provided with ducts 8, oblique to the longitudinal axis, the ducts being closed at one end 8a and open at the other. The liquid is discharged through a chamber 9 and bores 10 to outlet 11.
