709,525. Beams. POLLARD, D. Oct. 27, 1952 [Aug. 1, 1951], No. 18267/51. Class 20 (4) Beams, for floors, are formed by assembling a series of hollow blocks 12 end to end, placing reinforcement bars 15 in passages 14 which are aligned throughout the length of the beam, and forcing concrete, under pressure, into the passages 14. A floor is formed by assembling a number of beams side by side and running concrete between them, and, if desired, over the whole assembly as at 21. The sides of the blocks are provided with grooves 19 to ensure the correct positioning of the beams. The concrete top 21, which may be shaped along its edges to form a wainscoting, may also accommodate clips for securing flooring elements above the concrete 21. Plaster 22 may be added to the underside of the floor.
