706,229. Mixing appliances. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR. Dec. 20, 1951 [Dec. 22, 1950], No. 29864/51. Class 86 A liquid mixing device comprises a rotatable housing into which a liquid is fed to rotate therewith, a paring member disposed therein for paring out and discharging the liquid through a first channel arranged in the paring member and a second channel for delivering an admixing liquid, this channel ending at a point in the first channel or in a channel leading therefrom at which the first liquid discharged therethrough has a high velocity. In apparatus which includes a rotating casing 6, containing a stationary paring disc 9, a liquid with which a second liquid is to be mixed is fed down a channel 15 into the rotating casing 6 wherein wings 12 and 13 cause the liquid to rotate with the casing. This liquid is pared out by bent tubes 19 which project from the paring disc 9 and flows at high velocity through channels 18 in the paring disc. The second liquid passes down a channel 16 into channels 17 and thence into the channel 18 wherein the two liquids became mixed. The mixture flows through homogenizing devices 21 which consist of chambers filled with balls or the like and is then discharged through the channel 22. Specification 683,486 is referred to.
