914,215. Agitating liquids. SCHWERMASCHINENBAU ERNST THALMANN VEB. Jan. 27, 1961, No. 3254/61. Class 86. In a device for agitating and aerating liquids the container 3 has a partition forming a mixing channel 12 into which depends a tube 7 closed at its upper end and having a frusto-conical mouth 8. A coaxial shaft 4 carries impellers 5, 6, the impeller 6 being of the same diameter as the tube mouth and placed immediately below it, to draw air into the liquid through the tube 9 and stop-cock 10 ; the impeller 5 circulates the aerated liquid. The device is applicable to froth flotation processes.
