1,037,222. Concrete mixers. BENFORD Ltd. May 9,1963 [May 17, 1962], No. 18967/62. Heading B1C. In a pan-type mixer water is supplied by a duct 20 to an annular outlet 26 formed between two cones 18,19. The water falls on to an annular distributing member 22 mounted on the rotating mixer head 16, and having its surface divided into involute channels 29 by blades 28. In operation centrifugal force causes the water to be projected from the distributing member into the outer marginal zone of the container. In a modification, not depicted, the distributing member 22 is dispensed with and the inner cone 18 is extended to form a skirt.
