705,706. Refrigerating. BOLINDERS FABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG. Aug. 8, 1951, No. 18729/51. Class 29 In continuous cycle absorption refrigerating apparatus wherein rich solution is fed from the absorber vessel 2 to the pump tube 10a, 10b through a liquid heatexchanger 5 and a stand pipe 8a connected to the bottom of the pump, a coil 9 is provided between the stand-pipe 8a and the pump and acts to damp out any irregularities in the solution flow due to the action of the pump. Examples of suitable lengths for the coil 9 are given and the turns of it may be horizontal or inclined upwardly. The coil 9 may be disposed in or outside the boiler insultation, but generation of vapours should not occur in the coil. It may be disposed in or around the liquid heat-exchanger 5. An analyser 11 and an analysing conduit 7 are provided, the latter being arranged in series between the liquid heat-exchanger and the stand pipe and being traversed in the same direction by solution and by gases entering by 'pipe 12. An extension 8b of stand pipe 8a leads to the rectifier and the rest of the system. In a modification, the rich solution and the gases flow in opposite directions in the conduit 7.
