Class 29 In an absorption refrigerating system of the continuous cycle, inert gas type, vapours expelled in the boiler 1 pass through a tube 3 and are analysed, while flowing through a gently sloping tube 5, by strong solution fed to a higher part of the tube 5 by a gas-bubble pump 17 and entering the boiler 1 by a pipe 4 opening below the liquid level in the boiler. In the upper part 20 of the tube 5, the vapours bubble through liquid returning from the rectifier 7. A pressure-equalizing pipe 19 connects the part 6 of the tube 5 to the discharge of the pump 17. The tube 5 may be coiled round the boiler. In a modification Fig. 1 (not shown), the pump 17 feeds directly into the part 6 of the tube 5 and the pipe 19 is omitted.
