Class 51 (2) A travelling hearth for a tunnel kiln comorises sets of superposed si'icon carbide blocks 1, 2 and 3, each row of the lower course consisting of two end blocks 1 and three intermediate blocks 2 interlocked by mortise and tenon joints as shown with identical blocks 3 forming the rows of the upper course.
