Abstract

A refractory furnace lining, particularly applicable to induction furnaces, comprises a mixture of 15 per cent of a tri-calcium, pentaabuminate cement and 85 per cent graded quartzite, formed with a solid inner skin by setting of the cement in the surface layer of the mixture.
