Abstract

703,780. Syringes. SECOMASTIC, Ltd. May 22, 1952 [June 15, 1951], No. 14288/51. Class 102 (2). A syringe for the extrusion of viscous substances comprises a barrel 1 fitted with a smooth tapering nozzle 4 and containing a plunger 15 carried by a rod 13; the latter is moved inwardly of the barrel to expel the contents thereof by pressing a trigger 10 which acts on a spring-loaded plate 17, loosely mounted on the rod, causing it to tilt and grip the rod. A spring-loaded latch 20 prevents the piston from retracting when the trigger is released. The nozzle which is secured to the barrel by a threaded ring 3 may be of circular or rectangular cross section. The viscous substance may be charged directly into the barrel or may be supplied in a cartridge adapted to fit the barrel.
