Abstract
703,576. Pressure cookers. KELLER, H. Sept. 19, 1951 [Sept. 28, 1950; June 27, 1951] No. 22014/51. Class 123(1) The lid 15 of a saucepan 1 is pressed on to the rim 2 of the latter, with the interposition of a sealing ring 12, by a resilient yoke 5 which may be rotatably secured on the 'socket 13 of a safety valve 14 mounted at the centre of said lid. One end of the yoke engages a looped-shaped member 6 on a flexible ring 3 clamped below the rim of the pan, and, preferably, the other end is provided with a handle 10, 11 fitted with a spring pawl 8 adapted to be engaged with a second loop 7 on the ring 3. In a modification, the loops 6, 7 are directly welded or otherwise secured to the pan wall.
