A coffee filter 6 is carried on a hollow arm 3 detachably secured to the lid (or side-wall) of a domestic pressure cooker. A tube 13 within the arm 3 connects the filter with the cooker which acts as the boiler. A safety valve 14 may be provided. The hole in the cooker is plugged when the coffee filter is not in use.
