Abstract

703,009. Chain hoists. COLUMBUS McKINNON CHAIN CORPORATION. April 16, 1951. No. 8850/51. Class 78 (5) Load chain wheel 22 is formed with flats 35, to receive the flat-wise links of the load chain and cut-away portions 38 for the edgewise links, there being rounded abutments 40 formed on said' flats 35 for erigagement with the flatwise links. Hand chain 26 drives chain wheel 22 through shaft 14, and gears 17 18, the load chain co-operating with chain guide 28 secured to the hoist.
