Abstract
A foundry mould is made of a sintered mixture of industrial iron powder and aluminium oxide powder in equal proportions. Up to 10 per cent. by weight of copper may also be included. A fluxing agent such as low melting point metals and metallic compounds and mixtures or compounds containing or derived from titanic acid, e.g. sodium silicotitanate may be added.
