Class 51 (1) The flame tube of an air jacketed type of combustion chamber for a gas turbine or jet propulsion engine comprises a tubular part a, a domed end cover b and an air deflector c enclosing the end cover, the larger end of the air deflector being formed with relatively radially displaced tongue pieces f, g. The tongue pieces f are secured by welding to the tubular part a and the pieces g are secured to the peripheral part of the end cover b. The tongue pieces f are made somewhat longer than the pieces g.
