699,549. Transformers. METROPOLITANVICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. Aug. 22, 1952 [Sept. 25, 1951], No. 22406/51. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (ii). A laminated magnetic core comprises laminar frames which have either squarely cut joints at the corners or diagonally cut joints, the different types being interleaved to produce lapped butt joints at the corners of the completed core such that the ratio of the cross-section of overlapped lamination to the cross-section of the joint will be increased compared with that in conventional core constructions.
