Classes 75 (iii) and 75(iv) Channel-section sheet metal casings 1 for electric strip lighting are formed to nest one in another and are each formed with a longitudinal externally projecting strengthening rib 11 of dovetail profile for engagement by a correspondingly shaped part of suspension means 8, 9. As shown, the dovetail rib 11 is gripped by the jaws of a clip 9 on a pendant bar 8, and the necked portion of the rib is gripped by clamp plates 13, 14 internally of the casing from which ancillary equipment 7 is suspended. Outwardly bent side flanges 16 of the casing support reflector parts 2, which can be nested with the casings as in Fig. 2, and lamp-socket support plates 17 are clamped to the inwardly bent outer edges of the flanges 16. The casing may be closed by a plate 6 and electric conductors 15 may be accommodated as shown on an extension of the clamp plate 14.
