Abstract
409,420. Junction boxes; ceiling- roses. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, and BUTCHER, W. M. H., 77A, Queen Victoria Street, both in London. Nov. 11, 1932, No. 31947. [Class 38 (i).] The bases 1, 2 of a ceiling fitting &c. are formed in one piece with an arm 5 that serves to cover a conductor extending between the two bases, one of which may carry a suspended lamp and the other a suspended switch. The arm may be grooved at the back, the side walls forming a continuation of the flange 7 of the fittings. The bodies 3, 4 of the fittings carry terminals 16 and are located by projections 12 fitting in recesses 10, the screw cap 11 securing the body in position and coacting therewith to form a cord-grip as described in Specification 285,148, [Class 38 (i)]. A grooved mounting block of corresponding shape may be used to support the fitting.
