612,675. Supporting lamps. WARDLE ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and OGLEY, D. H. May 30, 1946, No. 16411. [Classes 75 (iii) and 75 (iv)] Suspension means for an elongated lamp 6 comprise a number of longitudinal links 7 fitted to the top of the lamp, each of which slidably engages hooks 11 on suspension chains 10 so that the distances between the vertical suspension chains 9 can be suited to various distances between ceiling joists, &c. The links 7 are pivotally secured to the lamp 6 by means of clips 8. A tube 12 and a cross piece 13 with hooks 14 may replace the chains 9, 10 or alternatively the crosspiece 13 may be secured direct to the ceiling. Single links may be secured direct to the ceiling. Single links may be fitted along the central longitudinal line of the lamp instead of pairs of parallel links 7.
