Abstract

210,929. Hunt, J. C. B. Dec. 13, 1922. Overhead lamps.-In an overhead electric lamp for indirect lighting in which an inverted translucent alabaster or like bowl 7 is suspended as by means of chains 5, the electric lamps 8 are supported by means of a tripod which rests freely upon the inside of the bowl or is carried by the bowl fittings. The tripod, which is preferably made from soft metal, comprises three legs 1 which have formed thereon ring-shaped parts 2 to which the lamp holders 3 are fixed, and the legs are pivotally connected together by means of a rivet 4 passing through the top portions 1<a> of the legs.
