Shade-holders; globes; shades.-In electric light fittings of the indirect or semi-indirect type in which a bowl 3 is supported beneath the lamp 2 by suspension chains 4, and a second translucent bowl-shaped screen a is fitted over the lamp to prevent shadows from being cast by the chains 4, the screen a is adjustably carried on the lamp by means of a ring b having two sets of arms, of which the upstanding spring-like arms c exercise a grip on the lamp 2, while the other arms d are bent under the upper part of the screen a and serve to hold it in position. The screen a may be provided with a. frosted tubular extension or with a frosted inturned edge.
