Abstract

194,113. Webber, J. Feb. 14, 1922. Globes; globe-holders.-In a lamp globe fitting, a lamp shade or reflector, with a channel-shaped lower end into which fits the upper end of a lamp protector or globe to secure together the shade and globe, is provided with pins extending laterally from side to side of the channel and engaged by bayonet slots in the said upper end of the protector. In one form, the shade a, Fig. 2, has attached a part c adjacent its lower edge so as to form the channel d around the edge, across which channel extends the pins e. The lower part or globe b, Fig. 3, has a ring f at its upper edge in which the bayonet-joint slots g are provided. The ends of the pins e are covered by the enamel a or other finishing material upon the shade a. The globe b may be made of enamelled wire mesh which has light diffusing properties.
