Class 117 [Also in Group XXVIII] In a grain &c. cleaning apparatus, a blower a forces air up the oblique channel d into a separating chamber j provided with a rotating basket l into which the air passes for return through channels q to the blower inlet. Grain from hopper e flows across a strainer g in the channel d to an exit aperture h leading to the runoff trough i, the flow being regulated by the slide f. Dust &c. carried up by the airstream is caught by the basket l and drops to be taken away by the channel n at the bottom of the separation chamber j. Channel n is provided with automatic shut-off flaps o. The blower and basket shafts are coupled by a belt drive, Fig. 2 (not shown).
