Abstract

695,780. Storage shells for cartons. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO., Ltd. April 13, 1951 [April 17, 1950], No. 9351/50. Class 18 [Also in Group XVIII] A collapsable storage shell for receiving cartons containing radio valves or the like is formed from a single blank of cardboard or similar material and is provided ith a stop for limiting the insertion of the cartons. The interior of the shell is subdivided into compartments by a strip 2 extending from one wall of the blank and creased so as to extend alternately along one wall and then along the opposite one, the intermediate portions forming shelves for the cartons. The stops may be formed by turning inwardly a flap 15 cut out of one side wall, or alternatively it may be formed by a strip 4 extending across the rear of the interior of the shell. Indicators may be provided to show when a shell or compartment is empty. A number of shells may be arranged together so as to accommodate a complete range of valves in their cartons.
