Abstract
695,459. Endless belt conveyers; piling coal. MITCHELL, F. G. May 3, 1951. [May 4, 950] No. 11077/50. Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv). Apparatus for handling and storing coal and like material for use in conjunction with a number of storage sites 11 arranged in line comprises an endless belt conveyer 10 running parallel with the line of the sites 11 and adapted to be loaded at 12 such as by a tippler, a tripper 13 engaging the upper run of the convever and movable along it, an endless belt conveyer 14 located between two of the sites and arranged to receive the discharge from the tripper 13, a tripper 16 engaging the upper run of the conveyer 14 and adapted to discharge material therefrom on to either of two endless belts 17 supported by the tripper and delivering to the sites 11. The conveyer 14 is supported on a carriage movable along rails 15 whilst the tripper 16 runs on wheels 31 on a track 32 itself mounted upon wheels for movement on the rails 15.
