694,032. Bakers' ovens. PEERLESS & ERICSSON, Ltd. May 23, 1951 [March 8, 1950], No. 5881/50. Class 51(ii) [Also in Group XI] A bakers' oven comprises an outer casing 11 spaced from an inner casing 10 enclosing a baking chamber 13, and upper and lower heating chambers 16 and 14 respectively, housing electrical heating elements, two ducts 22 being provided on each side of the inner casing 10 connecting the lower heating chamber 14 with the baking chamber 13 through ports 23 and 24. A tray 18 is disposed in the lower part of the baking chamber defining with the partition 17 a space 15 heated through the said partition. Convection currents are set up within the baking chamber through the narrow spaces between the tray and the casing 10. When additional heat is required as for browning or immediately after charging the oven, arcuate shutters 27 controlling the ports 24 are opened by rotating knobs 29 mounted on spindles 26 carrying said shutters. The space between the casings 10 and 11 is lagged and a thermostat mounted in the baking chamber may control the heating elements.
