Abstract

271,984. R. & A. Main, Ltd., and Wortley, G. W. March 27, 1926. Gas cooking-stoves.-In gas ovens of the hind comprising outer and inner casings 10, 13, the latter being closed at the top and open at the bottom, and the exhaust gases passing from the bottom of the inner chamber up one or more of the spaces between the two casings, one or more small " leak " openings 21 are provided at the top of the inner chamber to avoid stagnation of the gases in the upper part of the oven. In the oven shown, the main exhaust occurs through an opening 19 at the bottom of the inner casing, the gases passing between baffles 24 in the space between the two casings to the outlet 17. The " leak " opening 21 is arranged opposite to the outlet 17 and is in the form of an arcuate slot controlled by a rotary damper. Specifications 234,292 and 245,639 are referred to.
