692,548. Air-heating fireplaces. WILSON, J. A. Aug. 17, 1950 [June 29, 1949], No. 17183/49. Class 64 (iii) The usual fireback 7 of an open fireplace is fitted in a recess 6 in an air-heating metal box. Air, from the floor level of the room or from the open air, passes through conduits 9 and inlets 8 to hollow side wings 5 and rear portion 4 of the air chamber. The heated air passes through outlets 10 to conduits 11 which lead the air to a high location in the room to be heated. Specification 580,151 is referred to. The Provisional Specification refers also to the heated air passing through a duct system for heating the room air by radiation.
