Abstract
691,050. Stop motion for Axminster loom. PLATT BROS. & CO., Ltd. Sept. 12, 1950 [Sept. 15, 1949], No. 23786/49. Class 142(i) Stoppage of the loom if a tube frame 16 jams on the carrier chain 12 and prevents downward movement of the transfer arms 13 is effected by an arm 17 engaging an insulated plunger 18 in a stop motion circuit which also includes a timing switch to prevent operation of the stop motion when the transfer arms normally occupy their upper position. If the circuit is still closed at 17, 18 when the timing switch closes, the loom is stopped as described in Specification 684,558.
