Abstract
684,604. Stop-motions for Axminster looms. PLATT BROS. & CO., Ltd., March 17, 1950 [March 17, 19491, No. 7256/49. Class 142(i) To stop the loom if a tube frame 13 is missing from the carrier chain at the transfer position, at a time when a tube frame should be present, a roller 20 on a rod 19 rides on the pivot spring 16 of the tube frame to keep a contact 24 clear of an insulated contact 25 on the loom frame; a cam-operated timing switch is closed when a tube frame should be present on the chain so that, if a tube frame is then missing, the contacts 24, 25 complete the stop motion circuit described in Specification 684,558. A plunger-operated switch may be substituted for the contact 25.
