Abstract
694,329. Loom stop-motions. WILSON & LONGBOTTOM, Ltd. Oct. 17, 1951 [Oct. 18, 1950], No. 25341/50. Class 142(i) An electrical stop-motion for a loom comprises a circuit in which contacts A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP> are actuated by weft forks on opposite sides of the loom, a contact being broken by the action of its associated weft fork when a shuttle is in its appropriate shuttle box and the weft is unbroken. The contact is made at all other times. A cam operated switch C is included in the circuit, the timing being such that switch C is open except when one of the contacts A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP> is normally open. In the event of failure of weft, and the shuttle being in a shuttle box, the appropriate contact A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP> is closed and a circuit completed. A relay coil d is thus energized and its associated contacts D closed; this closes a circuit which energizes a relay coil E actuating the stop-motion, and lights a signal lamp F.
