Abstract
690,712. Ignition generators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Sept. 20, 1950 [Oct. 11, 1949], No. 23065/50. Addition to 651,223. Class 35. In an inductor-type magneto as claimed in the parent Specification, the teeth of alternate stator members have different widths. As shown, the magnets 15, 16 and polepieces 5-8 are arranged so that the flux through the coil cores 13, 14 alternates and the-teeth on polepieces 5, 7 are wider, circumferentially than they are on the other two pole-pieces. The windings 11, 12 charge condensers 17, 17<SP>1</SP>, 18, 18<SP>1</SP> and are connected to slip-rings 30 of distributers 27, 271. A transformer 31 (or 31<SP>1</SP>) is connected between each plug and its distributer contact 28 or 281. No magneto circuit breaker is necessary. Specification 651,219 also is referred to.
