Abstract

690,302. Supporting struts for shuttering. ESTIE, E. Feb. 7, 1951 [Feb. 20, 1950], No. 3006/51. Class 20(ii) Shuttering for concrete structures is supported by means of a tubular member 9 telescopically and adjustably secured to a standard 10, e.g. a tubular scaffolding member, and adjusted vertically relative to the standard 10 by means of a key 11 engaging slots 2 in the member 9 and bearing on the top of the standard, four longitudinal rows slots being provided, the rows being located in pairs opposite each other and the slots of opposite rows as well as those of adjacent rows being relatively staggered. The member 9 may be of circular or box section and in the latter case the pairs of opposite rows of slots may be provided in two parallel planes on two opposite walls of the section. The upper end of the member 9 has a fork 7 in which the shuttering is secured, whilst at its lower end fixing means 8 is welded thereto for securing the member 9 in its adjusted position to the standard 10.
