Abstract

689,486. Feed to pneumatic conveyer. BROWN & CO.. Ltd., J., and ROSS, P. M. Aug. 7, 1951. [Oct. 2, 1950] No. 24009/50. Class 78 (i). Material is fed by endless conveyer 6 into rubber tube 1 and discharged therefrom into pneumatic conveyer 8, the tube being squeezed at spaced points by rollers 2. The latter are carried by endless chains 5 so that the squeezed points run downwards to open at the bottom for discharge of the material, the squeezed points above sealing off the conveyer from the atmosphere. In place of rollers, two sets of rams may be used.
