Dec. 13, 1950 [June 30, 1949], No. 30407/50 Class 29 [Also in Group XXVIII] A cooling mixture having a pour point of -145‹C comprises 90 per cent. by volume of methanol and the remainder of a 7 per cent aqueous sodium hydronide solution saturated with paraffinic or alefinic hydrocarbons containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, e.g., methane, ethane, ethyline, propane prolpyene, butane or butylene. Other aliphatic alcohols containing two or three carbon atoms may be substituted for the methanol.
