Abstract
688,392. Fence posts. WOLSELEY SHEEP SHEARING MACHINE CO., Ltd., and MACNAMARA, H. J. April 25, 1951 [April 25, 1950], No. 10126/50. Class 45 A tripod post for wire fencing consists of a normally upright member having a screwed portion 2 at its lower end for engagement with the ground and a pair of ground stays 4 engaged at their upper ends over the upper end of the member 1 so as to be readily engageable and disengageable. The member 1 is formed at its upper end with a loop 3 with which an eye 5 on the upper end of each stay can engage. In an alternative construction the stays are connected to one eye of a double-eyed link, the other eye of which engages the member 1. Each stay has a spike 6 and ground plate 7 at its lower end. The post may be used to support the drum for electric fencing wire described in Specification 688,391.
